Dr Fahad Al Twaijry is the Managing Director of Ejtemaat KSA and the organiser of the In2space Forum. Dr Fahad has been associated with leading space shows in the region. A PHD holder from US he is an business process management expert in his early career.

Interviewer: What inspired the launch of In2Space, and what makes it different from other space events in the region?

Dr. Fahad AlTuwaijri : In2Space will be the platform that brings together the global experts of satellite based data and innovative services that is critical for us to manage a sustainable future. Satellite and Space play an important role but more importantly end-users need more education and knowledge building which will be facilitated by In2Space Forum.

Interviewer: How does In2Space support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its ambition to lead in space innovation and technology?

Dr. Fahad AlTuwaijri : Saudi Arabia is one of the first regional countries to think about space. What we now need is the ambition to make use of the infinite capabilities offered by Space and Satellite based Data and Innovation. Thus this in2space offers huge potential for Saudi space and satellite based solutions to empower our urban planning, agriculture, environment monitoring, desert storm and marine monitoring etc. Space offers innumerable solutions that impact our daily lives and let us make use of that.

Interviewer: Why is it important to bring together government bodies, private organizations, and SMEs on one platform like In2Space?

Dr. Fahad AlTuwaijri : Everyone is excited about space technology. However there are a lot of information gaps to make use of the technology that is already available. The In2space Forum will provide a platform bringing together end-users from Government, Business and SMEs with global and regional experts and capabilities.

Interviewer: What opportunities does In2Space offer to satellite innovators, technology providers, and startups from the region?

Dr. Fahad AlTuwaijri : In2Space brings together global and regional leaders from both traditional and new-space sectors alongside experts in ground-based satellite infrastructure. Dr. Fahad AlTuwaijri : This is the first kind of an event that features discussing Earth observation and related applications offered by Space technology, and how tracking the world from space can provide useful information, such as the mapping of fallout after natural disasters, such as recent floods in Texas Americas or monitoring urban planning projects such as the Al Ula in KSA.
